WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS:

  1. Quality handgun, suitable for self-protection and/or concealed carry. (Remember, you will be firing approximately 500 rounds. Ultra-lightweight firearms, though suitable for concealed carry, are not a good choice for this class. If you have any questions about the suitability of your gun, please contact us. It is a good idea to bring a spare gun, if you have one, in case your primary gun breaks. It happens more than you think!)

  2. Quality holster. (Again, contract us if you have questions.)

  3. 3+ magazines or speed loaders for your handgun.

  4. Magazine pouch/holder for 2+ of your spare magazines or speed loaders.

  5. Sturdy belt.

  6. Hearing protection. (Electronic is best.)

  7. Eye protection.

  8. Billed cap or other brimmed hat. (No red, please.)

  9. 500+ rounds of decent quality, reliable ammunition. Range ammunition (FMJ, etc.) is fine. You do not need to use premium self defense ammo for this course.

  10. Clothing suitable for the weather (rain, shine, mud, etc.) and the range.

  11. Rain gear and sweatshirt.

  12. Note taking materials (paper/pen, laptop, or tablet; NO audio or video recording is allowed) You will need to take LOTS of notes— we’ll explain why when you get here.

  13. Firearm cleaning supplies/tools/lubricants.

  14. Flashlight.
